The new, compact wireless solution from HMS

The new Anybus Wireless Bolt is a compact wireless gateway and access point, which has been developed for use directly on the machine thanks to its innovative design and integrated antenna. In addition the bolt can also be used as a cable replacement to communicate between two machines.

Features and advantages

• Mounted by making an M50 hole (50.5 mm) in the host cabinet/machine. The bottom part of the Bolt goes inside the cabinet and the top part is located on the outside.

Wireless machine access
When used as an access point, the Anybus Wireless Bolt establishes wireless access to the control network. That allows machines to be configured, parameterised and operated via a tablet or smartphone. The current operating parameters of the machine, production unit volumes or diagnostic data can also be queried by wireless communication. This makes the “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) concept a reality. Especially for concatenated systems such as printing or packing

Integrating wireless communication solutions eases the work of integrators in places that are hard to acces, that are dangerous or in places where cables cannot be placed.
